Information On Elevator Mirrors
Many people at work may not even notice an elevator mirror as they are riding up and down their building. To many people, mirrors for elevator serve little purpose as they are located high in the corner of the elevator cart; and people who have noticed them may not give them anything more than a passing glance. What many people may not realize is that there is a long history involving elevators and mirrors, dating back to the early industrial age. When tall buildings first sprang up on the east coast, many of the buildings were built with an elevator. Although elevators were not popular at first, as the buildings grew in height, many people began to use elevators to move up and down the building more quickly. At the time, elevators were relatively slow, and many people began to complain about the speed. Elevator designers discovered that it was expensive to make them run at a faster speed, so they came up with an entirely new idea. Designers surveyed riders and discovered that many people thought that the ride was slower than it actually was. Since riders did not have anything to do during the ride but stare at the walls, many people did not have any idea how long the ride actually was. Many riders were only thinking about elevator safety, as the technology was still new. By placing a mirror in the elevator, people became distracted by themselves during the ride. After adding an elevator mirror, the designers surveyed the same group of people and discovered that they said the speed of the ride had improved. Although the elevator safety has improved, mirrors for elevator are still in use today. New York for example requires all elevators to place a mirror in an elevator check all corners for safety reasons. Mirrors for elevator are offered in a 10" triangular shape, and are made of all metal. They are constructed to be quickly and easily mounted to provide elevator safety to everyone in the building. They are designed to be mounted in the upper corners of an elevator cart and give riders a view of the entire cart to ensure their safety before entering and exiting. The brackets used to mount the mirror are completely hidden behind the mirror to give a clean look in any elevator. Best of all, they are easy to clean, and come with all the necessary materials to mount the mirror as soon as it arrives. Although an elevator is not used in the manner that it was originally designed, many buildings still use them to give passengers a complete view of the elevator to ensure a rider's safety. These mirrors can be particularly useful, in a hotel where elevators are used by both guests and the staff. A cleaning person with a cart in the corner of an elevator can see the opening before they exit, and a guest can check to make sure that no one is exiting with a large cart. Placing an elevator mirror in the corner of an elevator cart has become a standard practice to provide a level of safety to riders.
